What You’ll Do

  • Financial Modeling & Strategic Support: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial performance, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and forecasts; monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds for daily operations and strategic initiatives; optimize working capital and implement effective cash management strategies.
  • Risk Management: Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Market & Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes in Nepal that may impact the business; ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process; verify VAT workings, TDS calculations, and other statutory data.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, aging analysis, and payroll.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging Odoo ERP Version 18 for all accounting, operational, and reporting activities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide support and guidance to subordinates and team members; conduct periodical reporting to management regarding team performance and appraisals.
  • Work Culture: Maintain a healthy, competitive, and collaborative working environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial position within financial management or accounting
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with VAT, TDS, and compliance with Nepalese financial regulations
  • Proficiency in financial software and Odoo ERP Version 18
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities

Should-Have:

  • Experience coordinating with external auditors and managing audit processes
  • Familiarity with working capital optimization and cash management strategies
  • Strong understanding of market and regulatory trends in Nepal

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in process improvement and automation within finance functions
  • Exposure to strategic planning and business partnering
