Timesheet: Truth and Myth

1.       You will be paid based on your Timesheet: Myth

·         You will be paid based on your attendance on daily basis as a standard procedure. Timesheet is valued and verified to check your daily task as a mechanism to do the performance appraisals.

·         Salary payment based on Timesheet will be done only during the unforeseen situation like Pandemic where we cannot verify / track the attendance.

2.       If we Don’t fill the Timesheet, we will not get paid: Myth

·         The salary is entirely based on the attendance on normal working days. Whereas during Lockdown, timesheet prevails. Basic Salary of all individual is a right to all which will be paid. Salary during Lockdown shall be calculated comparing Basic Salary and Timesheet whichever is Higher.

3.       We need to fill the Timesheet for 8 working hours: Myth

·         Timesheet is to be filled as per the work per day and not just to fill the timesheet. It’s kind of your Work Done List with time where you can review your daily task completed and where you spent your valuable time. Please fill the timesheet based on the work done rather than just to fill the timesheet and make it 8 hours to get salary. It’s a self-appraisal sheet.

4.       Timesheet is Important to fill without Fail: Truth

·         Timesheet is to check what you did for the day for a performance appraisal purpose to be done by the HOD / Coordinators. So, it is a must to fill the timesheet.

5.       I don’t have much task with me to fill the day, will my performance appraisal be bad: Myth
