Two Factor Authenticator
What is 2 - Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication is a method where your users are required to log in with two “factors”:
Ø Password
Ø Code
The 2-FA is often implemented through TOTP (Time-based One Time Password) using apps like Google Authenticator which sends a unique code to your smart phone each time you log in.
And why aren’t passwords good enough?
Unfortunately, our system passwords are not that secure and if someone gets the access to your password he/she can easily access your confidential data and information. Even if our password is very strong, it cannot alone provide us 100% security.
Luckily, it's easy for businesses to add an extra layer of protection to user accounts in the form of two-factor authentication, commonly known as 2FA.
